I want to make up for the lost time I had with my friends because I was too caught up with the online world. Don’t get me wrong, I still love you guys, but the consequences have caught up to me and I’ve drifted from so many people. I know the main reason why I started spending more time online was because I was drifting from everyone and needed a support system, but I didn’t realise that it was the same for everyone else. I realise I need to be the one reaching out to people sometimes. Idk man, I’m not quitting Tumblr or something. Just putting it out there as a reminder for myself, too.

I’m still trying to get back on my feet, so this week will be really rough. I’m not sure I’m ready for whatever this week wants to throw at me. Honestly, I’m scared. It’s like I want to expect something good, but I also know not to get my hopes up.

Today was, surprisingly, not as horrible as I anticipated it to be. In fact, I’m thankful that I had my friends to lean on to. I know they’re just as hurt as me, but I’m glad we didn’t act like things never happened. It was good. It was a good step. Knowing and acknowledging each other’s pain, and helping each other through it one “how are you?” at a time.

It’s not over, far from it. But I have hope and faith that things will be better. I don’t know when it is, but it’s there. I guess you can say this is a good experience for us too. We can’t be happy all the time. We face trials to get stronger. And facing this together, as a “family”, is good. I’m trying to think of it that way. We all need to grow up. And we all need to accept that change is the only constant.

I’m still sad, I can’t deny that. But I’ve held hands that told me “I’ll be with you through this, together”, been wrapped around with arms that said “it’s gonna be fine, we’re gonna be fine”, and looked into eyes that shone with faith, hope, and love. This, too, shall pass.
